ABOUT ME

I am warm, caring and committed to working collaboratively with my clients. I see my role as a counsellor as one of embarking on a journey with my clients, where we ‘walk together’ discovering the different terrain as the journey unfolds. As an integrative counsellor, I use different theoretical approaches, which enables me to meet the individual need of each client. I believe we all have an innate desire to be the best version of ourselves, to fulfil our potential. My aim is to offer a confidential environment where my clients are not judged and where they can explore, reflect and develop, hopefully realising some of their potential in different areas of their life.

I currently work at a low-cost counselling service as a Lead Counsellor as well as a Counselling Tutor on a Counselling Skills and Studies Course. These are alongside my private practice, Becoming Whole. I have previously worked in a GP surgery and a community counselling service working with people from various backgrounds with wide-ranging difficulties.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work according to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling. I am regularly supervised, hold personal indemnity insurance, and maintain Continuous Professional Development.

I have previously helped to facilitate a Women’s Restoration Group and ‘Understanding Yourself’ Workshops.
